General Info & Rules
Aquatic Center Information
- Do not enter the pool if you have a communicable disease or an open cut.
- Shower before entering the pool and after use of toilet facilities.
- No food, drink, or gum are allowed in the pool or on the pool deck.
- All patrons must wear a swimsuit appropriate for a family-friendly environment, no cut-off shorts, thongs, etc. are allowed.
- Do not run or engage in rough play in the pool or locker room area, No horseplay, such as running, pushing, dunking, throwing others, etc.
- Do not climb on any of the attractions structures.
- Diving, twisting or jumping backwards from the side of the pool is not allowed.
- Follow instructions on the slides: swim test, height requirements, diving well, no goggles and any other instructions.
- Do not bring animals into the pool area. Service animals are allowed on deck but not in the pool.
- Diaper changes on the pool deck is prohibited.
- Non-toilet trained children must wear a swim diaper. Swim diapers are available for purchase at the admissions desk.
- Glass and shatter-able items are prohibited in the pool area.
- All children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Remember to treat all patrons, staff, equipment, and facilities with respect.
- This is a smoke free facility, tobacco use is prohibited, this includes vaping.
- Be mindful of the weather, for your safety the pool will be closed during severe weather.
- All persons entering the pool must have a membership, pay the daily fee, or be a program participant.
- Persons under the influence of alcohol or any judgement-impairing substance will not be admitted to the facility.
- Non-swimmers may only use the shallow areas of the pool and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Only Coast Guard approved life jackets are allowed in the pool. All children using a life jacket must be within an arms length of an adult at all times.
- Swim goggles are allowed, swim goggles are available for purchase at the admissions desk.
- No inflatable toys or devices are allowed. **Balls for water basketball or water volleyball will be provided by staff when activity is offered.
- Lap pool maximum capacity is 385
- Activity pool maximum capacity is 361

The following is a list of items that are prohibited at the Burlington Community Aquatic Center:
- Food (exceptions for baby food, formula, and special dietary restrictions)
- Beverages (except water)
- Alcohol
- Glass
- Knives
- Firearms/ Ammunition
- Flotation devices and noodles
- Non Coast Guard approved life jackets
- Water wings (puddle jumpers are allowed)
- Tents
- Fireworks
- Use of drones on pool property
Regular summer hours are:
Weekdays: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Weekends: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Member Early Access
Weekdays: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Weather and Temperature
65 degrees and below – The pool will be closed.
66 degrees and above – The pool will make every effort to stay open but will be dependent on attendance.
Thunder and Lightning
The pool will be cleared immediately and closed at the first indication of thunder or lightning. No one will be permitted to enter the water until at least 30 minutes after the last indication of thunder or lightning.
Rain/strong winds
If on any occasion rain and strong wind impair the guards ability to observe patrons in the pool, they will either close a section of the pool or the entire pool until the guards can clearly see all portions of the pool.
Hazardous Material
Any hazardous materials in the pools may cause the pools to be shut down 8 hours for the large deep pool and 2 hours for the shallow pool. This allows time for the pool water to be completely filtered. Hazardous materials include: vomit, feces, and any other materials hazardous to human health.
2024 RESIDENT MEMBERSHIP
Proof of residency within the City of Burlington is required to purchase a membership at the resident rate.
If you are unsure of your residency status, please contact Burlington City Hall to verify. Accepted as proof of residency will be a driver’s license or utility bill (water, electric, phone) dated within the last month.
The Aquatic Center will make membership fee adjustments based on residency.
Resident Single
$100 / year
- Proof of residency within the City of Burlington is required
Resident Family
$185 / year
- For the immediate family residing at the same Burlington address
- Day care providers are not included in family memberships, they must purchase a Caregiver Pass or use day passes supplied by the family.
Resident Senior
$85 / year
- City of Burlington resident age 60+
Caregiver Pass
$35 / one per membership
- Can be used by different caregivers throughout the summer
- Caregiver must accompany the associated individual or family membership holder(s) to use the pass

If you do not wish to purchase a membership you can purchase a daily pass at the time of entry.

Anyone living outside the City of Burlington is eligible for a Non-Resident Membership. If you are unsure of your residency status, please contact Burlington City Hall to verify.

- For the immediate family residing at the same address

The Burlington Community Aquatic Center offers of full menu of tasty foods – from traditional hot dogs, hamburgers and pizza to yogurt cups and fresh fruit. The menu offers a wide array of price points to fit a wide array of appetites and budgets.
All food must be eaten in the designated areas and is not allowed in the pool or on the deck surrounding the pool.
No carry-ins are allowed so plan your day accordingly to take best advantage of the food offered.
FOOD AND DRINK POLICY
For everyone’s safety, we do not allow food, coolers, or beverages (including alcohol) into the aquatic center, with the exception of water. We have water fountains in the pool area.
We will also make exceptions for baby food and formula. Upon entry all bags are subject to inspection, just let our team member know if you plan to bring baby food or formula into the facility.
If you wish to bring your own food, we welcome you to use our picnic area outside of the pool which includes picnic tables and a pavilion. We do allow re-entry into our facility.
